Monart Drawing Classes at the Zoo!

NOW TAKING ENROLLMENT!

Join us at the Sedgwick County Zoo Cargill Learning Center, 5555 Zoo Boulevard; we will meet in the Prairie and Ocean rooms. Learn to draw many creatures from the animal kingdom while learning proper techniques for the different media that will be introduced.

Getting Ready (Ages 4-6): Thursdays 3:00-4:00 and 4:30-5:30 in the Ocean Room

Basic Monart (Ages 7-12): Thursdays 3:00-4:00 (for homeschool students) and 4:30-5:30 in the Prairie Room

The first session will last 10 weeks. We will meet on Sept. 11, 18, 25; Oct. 2, 9, 16, 23, 30; Nov. 6, 13. The cost for the 10 week session is $175.00 which includes all supplies. Students will be learning about animals around the world – reptiles, birds, mammals and many more! Have fun using new media such as watercolor paintbrushes with the color already in the handle.

The second session will last 9 weeks. We will meet on Jan. 15, 22, 29; Feb. 5, 12, 19, 26; Mar. 5 & 12. The cost of the 9 week session is $157.50 per student. Students will be drawing water creatures including koi fish, frogs, pre-historic sea creatures, a marine iguana and much more! Look forward to new media such as oil pastel and watercolor.

The Third session will last 8 weeks. We will meet on Apr. 2, 9, 16, 23, 30; May 7, 14, 21. The cost of the 8 week session is $140.00 per student. Learn to draw “creepy crawlies” such as a scorpion, tarantula, a Gila monster and many more creatures! Students will use a variety of materials including watercolor pencils and chalk pastels.
All materials and supplies are included in tuition.
