Monart Drawing classes in Newton!

Join us at the Bethel College Academy of Performing Arts, 123 E. Broadway; we will meet in the Kindermusik room. Learn to draw a variety of subjects from the animal kingdom while learning proper techniques for the different media that will be introduced.

Monart for Homeschoolers (Ages 4-6 and 7-12): Fridays 2:30-3:30

Basic Monart (Ages 7-12): Fridays 3:30-4:30

The first session will last 9 weeks. We will meet on Sept. 12, 19, 26; Oct. 3, 10, 17, 24 (no class on Oct. 31st); Nov. 7 & 14. The cost for the 9 week session is $157.50 which includes all supplies. Students will be learning about animals around the world – reptiles, birds, mammals and many more! Have fun using new media such as watercolor paintbrushes with the color already in the handle!

The second session will last 9 weeks. We will meet on Jan. 16, 23, 30; Feb. 6, 13, 20, 27; Mar. 6 & 13. The cost of the 9 week session is $157.50 per student. Students will be drawing water creatures such as koi fish, frogs, pre-historic sea creatures, a marine iguana and much more! Look forward to new media such as oil pastel and watercolor.

The Third session will last 8 weeks. We will meet on Apr. 3, 10, 17, 24; May 1, 8, 15, 22. The cost of the 8 week session is $140.00 per student. Have fun drawing “creepy crawlies” such as a scorpion, a tarantula, a Gila monster and many more creatures! Students will use a variety of materials including watercolor pencils and chalk pastel.
