CLASS SCHEDULE 2008 - 2009

A variety of media will be used in classes that include, but are not limited to: oil and chalk pastel, charcoal, watercolor, design marker, graphite, colored pencil and collage. All supplies and materials included in tuition.

*FIRST STEPS (Ages 3-4) - Our youngest artists have fun experimenting with different media while improving hand-eye coordination, problem solving and sequencing.

Wed. 10-11; Thurs. 10:00-11:00/12:30-1:30; Fri. 12:30-1:30

*GETTING READY (Ages 4-6) –This class introduces representational drawing geared to the attention span and motor coordination of the youngest child. Children master the ability to recognize the elements of shape and combine them in drawing animals, characters, vehicles and still life.

Mon. 10-11/3:30-4:30; Tues. 4:30-5:30; Wed. 4:30-5:30; Thurs. 2:30-3:30, 4:30-5:30

*BASIC MONART (Ages 6-10) –A relaxed, comfortable atmosphere challenges students to learn the basics and progress into intermediate projects. Students will draw from 3-dimensional objects, photos, illustrations and their imaginations.

Mon. 3:30-4:30; Tues. 4:30-5:30 / 6:30-7:30; Wed. 4:30-5:30; Thurs. 4:30-5:30

*INTERMEDIATE MONART (Ages 8-12) – In this advanced class, students will create mixed media projects while focusing on techniques to further their skills. Lessons will involve drawing from still-life, learning about perspective and proper material usage. Some drawing experience required.

Wed. 4:30-6:00; Thurs. 4:30-6:00

*BASIC / ADVANCED MONART (Ages 10-Adult) – Students expand their knowledge of drawing objects using Monart basics in this guided drawing class. The focus will be on still-life, the human form, and drawing exercises to develop personal style. All skill levels accepted.

Mon. 4:30-6:00 / 6:30-8:00; Tues. 6:30-8:00; Wed. 10:00-12:00

MONART FOR HOMESCHOOLERS (Ages 4-6 & 7-12) – Ask about our special homeschool rates! (Applicable at the main studio only) Mon. 10:00-11:00, 3:30-4:30; Thurs. 2:30-3:30.

Drawing/painting classes for advanced homeschool students ages 12-18 Mon.4:30-6:00; Wed. 10:00-12:00

ENROLLMENT AND TUITION

*There is a once a year $15.00 registration fee per person.
*Sign up anytime!!! Classes run on a month to month basis, and space is limited, so sign up now! Tuition is due on the first class period of the month; tuition will be pro-rated if you sign up mid-month.
*Ask about payment programs/discounts, group rates, family discounts, fun holiday workshops, birthday parties, teacher training workshops and scout programs.

Tuition costs including supplies:

1 hour class: $65.00 per month
1 1/2 hour class: $75.00 per month
2 hour class: $85.00 per month
